Visiting the BBC

We live very close to the BBC

The BBC TV Centre was the first TV station building in the world ..
it was built in the shape of a question mark .. very strange when you're inside it! 
But it's now going to be sold!  So Mum thought it might be cool to visit before such a special place
left London.  As luck would have it, when we arrived they had laid on a special kids BBC tour (cBBC)! 

We got special passes to go around the building	Our first stop was Prank Patrol!
We went to see a programme being made ...	.. and visited some of the studios.  This CBBC one is really small!

We saw how they added pictures behind the people who read the weather .. (Troy sneaked on to the camera! )
And then we went to visit our favourite programme 

 

Andy, Helen an Barny are our favourite Presenters	Peter, Valery and John are the presenters from when my mum was little. Can you belive the programme has been on since the 'olden days'!
This is the Blue Peter Garden.  They're going to move the whole lot to Manchester when they move!  Even the tortoise' grave!	Blue Peter is a type of flat .. and you can just see it here on their boat!

We also

..saw a Dalex from Dr. Who!	.. and Hayley played in the Copy Cat game!
.. we passed Pudsy the Children in Need Bear ..	.. and Troy drove passed the Stig from Top Gear!

Little Scrubs Day

The park next to our house had a wee fair.  It was great fun .. especially as we both won coconuts!  Later we found out how to open them up .. no problem!  ... delicious!

Summer Half Term

At the end of May ..spilling over into  June ... even though just the best weather for 100 years was happening in London;  we decided we still need more warm times .. so we went to Tarifa for our summer half term break.

First off we went to Estapona ...

Then we had a visit to Guzman.

After Troy's visit to Manu's class he came to my class. Victor let me be in charge for a little while!

On another day we went riding.  We took our friend Rufus

June 6

..... and what is now nearly a Tradition ... Roderick's birthday.. it falls on half term every year so we never miss it.  How lucky .... :)  

Especially as we had melty cake!
