Sunny Boxing Day

Mum took us surfing on the day after Christmas.

In England they call the day -  Boxing Day.
In Ireland they call it - St. Stephen's day.
In Tarifa it was simply
.. sunny surfing day ....

:)

We met Roderick on the beach ...

..  Hold on I'll get you

.. got you ...

Oh oh!  The wave's pulling you ...

Ahhgh!  Gone!   ;)

Scootin' Christmas Eve

During the day .. one of Santa's more unconvincing helpers gave us some "chuches"

.. that night, while the adults were inside getting warm on something strange called Gluwein we were outside running through the town.  It was awesome as nobody was around, so we ran through all the streets until Midnight.  Then we had to rush home so santa wouldn't catch us up past our bed time!

No Snow!

December's not so warm in Tarifa ... but we're still making it to the beach! We've just had a big storm and it's the closest we'll get to Snow. The sand's everywhere. :)

Need a tow truck for my scooter.
It's strange to think that a while ago we were sitting here in just our shorts!
The sun's trying to sneek through.
See it looks sort of snowy!

Party of Light

Maisy, Lilia, Sam and our favourite babysitter Oliver, left Tarifa. So Bruno's mum Carol organised the coolest party for them. Bonfire down by the beach and fire lanterns out over the sea. The boys went crazy and Hayley loved it so much she said it was like being in heaven and that it was that happiest day of her life! So it's safe to say it was a success! We'll miss them, but like everyone who comes to Tarifa - they'll be back one day. The pictures are very blurry.

The beach in December

It was such a warm day.   Even though the waves were so big - nothing would stop Hayley!   Troy decided to chill out on the beach instead -  he said they weren't the right type of wave for him!

Two Birthdays

Bruno and Mookah

Troy's friend Bruno was 5 - and he had a cool birthday.  It was a circus birthday.  Hayley is in circus school so she had the best time.  Troy went crazy with the guys in the sunshine and loved that he got to play with all the toys.

And then we had Hayley's friend Mookah's birthday ... in the Piños.  Strangely here we had a lot of hanging out too.  One of their friends was a climber so he roped up a tree for everyone to swing from.  We stayed till the sun set.  A super cool day.

Leaves

Last week we went to collect leaves for Autumn Projects.  We went with our pal Bruno to a forest just behind Los Barrios.

Bruno's in front
And Voila!  The trees!

.. we didn't really get enough leaves that day .. so during the week we all went again to a town not too far from Tarifa called Castellar de la Frontera.  On the way we saw stork nests on top of electricity poles.  We explored by the river and had a picnic.

Hayley and Bruno
Troy got to play with as  many sticks as he could possibly want.  Stick heaven!
We went along the river and found an old bridge, was kind of spooky!
We actually managed not to fall in too!

After that we went up the mountain to the tiny town and it's castle.   It was so cool.  Hayley said it was like we could see the whole world from the top.

There were no houses or anything ...

Us again ... it was a long way down behind us ...
Spooky town just as the sun went ...

... and we did even manage to remember to collect leaves.  You can go to Troy's Blog to see what we did with them!!  CLICK
